Kerrey launches tour of Nebraska
Posted: 05/17/12 08:18 Fresh off his win in the Democratic U.S. Senate primary, Bob Kerrey toured around Nebraska today. The former senator is making stops in Omaha, South Sioux City, Lincoln, Grand Island and Scottsbluff. Kerrey says he has worked with Republicans to solve problems in the past, and charges that Fischer has vowed not to work with Democrats. He says that won't work in the senate. Republicans have claimed that the US Senate race between Kerrey and Republican Deb Fischer will boil down to New York values versus Nebraska values. Kerrey points out he still has family and businesses in Nebraska. He says he left the state for a little more than ten years, because he had a job opportunity. |
