GIPD turns to Facebook for help

The Grand Island Police Dept. is again turning to Facebook, attempting to identify a person of interest in a theft case. On March 23rd 2012 a $3,000 diamond ring was stolen from the Sartor Hamman Jewelry store. Police are trying to identify the person in the photos in connection with this case. She is described as a heavy set black female approximately 5-9 with long black hair. If anyone has any information on this case please contact Investigator Kottwitz at 308-385-5400.
