Posted: 04/16/12 08:17

Butch Hughes was back in the courtroom Friday. In his trail against the City Of Hastings over building code violations at the old Hastings Middle School building, now renamed Times Square. Hughes was found guilty, on all counts of violating city codes and has been ordered to allow city inspections. Adams County Judge Michael Offner also ordered Hughes to pay $2,100 in total fines for the 21 code violations. Offner says city employees can enter the premises with 24 hours notice inspections. If any additional code violations are discovered, but not corrected, the city will have the authority to force the building to be closed until repairs are made. Hughes has 30 days to appeal the court's decision.
