Pink slime causes closure of beef plants
Posted: 05/09/12 08:06 Beef Products Inc. says it plans to close processing plants in three states because of the controversy surrounding a product that critics have dubbed "pink slime." Congressman Adrian Smith co-chairman of the Modern Agriculture Caucus is upset with the media who created the controversy. The closures take effect on May 25th. The plant in South Sioux City, Neb., will remain open. |
